2014 Trek Verve 3

Trek's Verve 3 is a super-plush ride no matter where you choose to roam thanks to an easy-pedaling aluminum frame and a suspension fork that smooths any road or path. Sublime comfort comes in the form of a relaxed, easy-on-the-back riding position and adjustable stem with wide handlebars. Plus, you'll love the cushy Bontrager seat and suspension seatpost that makes the bumps disappear. In addition to being comfortable, the 24 gears provide easy pedaling and climbing, too. If you forgot how much fun riding is, one ride on the Verve, and you'll never forget.

Comments:

I've put over 4000 miles in a year of riding in Michigan and Florida. I had to have the rear wheel respoked with heaver duty spokes (I weigh 280 lbs) and I've replaced the chain & cassette. At 65 it took a while but I now ride 20 to 40 miles a day 3 to 4 times a week. I've probably shifter 40,000 times and it still shifts every time I click it up or down. My average ride is about 12 MPH so I'm more concerned with comfort than speed. I like the stability of the wider tires & love the wider handgrips.

A Perfect Ride - A Great Value

    Comments:

This is my second Verve model purchased within three weeks. I originally bought a Verve 2 and liked everything about it except for the effort and detent feel of the twist-grip shifters. My dealer offered to exchange it for a Verve 3 with trigger style Shimano shifters. The shifters are fast, low-effort, and very precise, engaging all 24 gear combinations perfectly. Compared to the Verve 2, this model also has an upgraded drivetrain, seat, and rims. My wife has also ridden the bike and I think we'll probably be getting one for her soon. We're in our mid-60's and are making the switch from traditional mountain bikes to the much more comfortable and age-appropriate Verve hybrids.

      Comments:

Rode a dual suspension mountain bike for 15 years. After back surgery last year my surgeon told me to get back on my bike. Had to dump the mountain bike because of the geometry. The riding position on the Verve 3 is perfect for getting a great ride without stressing neck, lower back and wrists. Did I mention, the bike if beautiful, too!

        Comments:

At age 64 (wife 63), we decided to make a lifestyle choice for retirement years and bought two Verve 3's. In two weeks, we've done over 80 miles of trail riding. Can't believe how smooth and easy the bike is to ride! Looked briefly at bikes at a few large retailers, but decided you get what you pay for. We considered the Verve 2, but felt the ergonomic handles, harder tires and better gear set was worth the extra bucks. They're better than we expected, and we plan to rde these beauties for many years. We love our Verve 3's!

I am going to be 60 but I feel like a kid again. I love coming home from a day at work to get on my bike and enjoy mother nature. It relaxes me and I get good exercise. My blood pressure has actually gone down. I can't say enough good things about my Verve 3. I feel like I could ride all day.

I replaced 20+ year old Trek 820---generally the same bike with addition of the shock pistons in the saddle and the fork. So far, so good for this gentleman rider who values comfort over speed. jss

          Comments:

Bike is used to get exercise on an every other day basis. Bought this because it is the replacement for Trek 7300 which I love but have taken to my cabin for the summer. Everything is great except the seat which is extremely uncomfortable after about 15 nminutes of riding. My older Trek has a very comfortable seat. i had to spend $50 to get a replacement seat. This should never happen with a Trek bike and is a big negative.
